On completion in early 2009, Point Village will be a world-class business and cultural hub with the Capital's premier entertainment venue, the Point Depot at its heart.
The Village will become an iconic symbol of the capital with the Point Watchtower and its sister, the independent U2 Tower, standing either side of the Liffey estuary, marking the dawning of a new gateway into Dublin city.
Later phases of this mammoth project will involve the construction of a 4 star Hotel, a new Luas park and ride station and a revamp of the Point Depot venue which will include a state-of-the-art 14,000 seat amphitheatre. The overall project will also include the construction of the "˜U2 Tower" across the river, which will feature a unique U2 exhibition.
J&P supplied the project with T-Bolts and Jordahl channels, in both sled assemblies and standard short lengths. In connection with the client’s engineers, J&P worked on the selection and design of channel for the project, in order to develop solutions appropriate for the situation described.
