The Eurocode-compatible design concept paves the way for an international, transparent safety concept.
Eurocode2 now requires all connections to have ETA. Using a channel without ETA is non-complient.
Eurocode 2 states that:
The performance of fasteners should comply with the requirements of a CEN Standard or should be demonstrated by a European Technical Approval.
EN 1992-1-2004 clause 2.7
Why should I care?
If you are using any cast-in channels, manufactured by a company who doesn't hold a European Technical Approval (ETA), you have a non-complient design. This may have significant implications for insurers of projects and the liability of suppliers.
If your channels have no ETA, your design has no cover.
