Environmental Policy

J&P's customers expect the best quality of product and service but always at a competitive price. To help meet these demands it is important that we continue to monitor and control our own costs and to remain at the forefront of developing new technology and innovative new products to meet both the industry and political demands.

This must today include an understanding of the cost to the environment of J&P's operations and the responsibility we have to mitigate that cost for the benefit of its customers and the end users of its products.

Through developing and following strong environmental policies, J&P and its customers have benefited. The policies have led to a reduction in energy consumption, reduced product waste, reduced raw material consumption and reduced landfill, all enabling us to be competitive in the market and to offer products which meet ever increasing legislative demands.

Here at J&P Building Systems, we firmly believe in the saying "it pays to go green." For building end-users, the specification of energy-efficient products, can mean significant savings on heating and air-conditioning bills. Recent anecdotal evidence from the United States suggests that because of the potential savings for the occupier, green buildings could achieve 5-10% higher rents over the long term and command a 15% premium in capital values.

Environmental Environmental issues are viewed with considerable importance and J&P's management systems are BS EN ISO 14001: 2004 approved. It has a dynamic policy to ensure landfill waste is reduced year on year and its products are designed to be recyclable.

J&P is proud to be a pioneer in the building industry for its environmental work.
